The story
The history of Schneeberger companies begins with Schneeberger Décolletages, which in the 1930s began machining parts for the watchmaking industry.
The company was founded in 1936 by Emile Schneeberger, himself a bar turner by trade. His desire for a challenge and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to set up his own business in watch subcontracting.
His passion and determination have paid off, and have been passed down from generation to generation ever since. Following in the footsteps of his son Francis, it is now his grandson, Eric Schneeberger, who heads up the family business.
Under the management of Eric Schneeberger, the company expanded rapidly. It diversified its machine park and modernized, abandoning CAM machines in favor of CNC machines. This transition opened up new opportunities for Schneeberger Décolletages, enabling it to machine more complex parts. This is still one of Schneeberger's strengths today.
In 2010, Schneeberger Composant Horloger was created to meet the specific needs of its long-standing customer base of watchmakers.
Today, our ability to excel in a variety of fields such as watchmaking, medical, dental, automotive, jewelry, aeronautics, connectors and electronics places us among the most diversified companies of our size.
